Having suffered from rosacea and cystic acne as a teenager, Maria developed a burning passion for skincare at an early age. Desiring a radiant complexion, she started her career as an Aesthetician in 2009 and went directly into the MedSpa industry. Excited at the possibility that she could do much more to help people, she went to nursing school and received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of San Francisco.
Maria has had the pleasure of working in some of the nation’s top Magnet designated hospitals, such as Stanford and UCSF Medical Center, in addition to receiving the honor to provide care to the veterans at VA Medical Center. She has also worked in a world-renowned beauty company and a multitude of reputable beauty spas, accumulating a wealth of knowledge in treating ethnic skin. She is constantly inspired by evidence-based research to provide the highest standards of patient care.
Staying up to date with current beauty treatments, trends and techniques, Maria holds advanced certifications and mastered techniques in performing Injectable Fillers, Botox,/ Dysport PDO Nova Threads, Non-Surgical Face Lifting, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Q-Switched YAG, Fraxel Skin Resurfacing, CoolSculpting, Laser Liposuction, RF MicroNeedling, Laser Hair Removal, IV Vitamin Therapy and PRP Injections.
Using her extensive knowledge in medical aesthetics, Maria supports her patients in their beauty goals by carefully listening to their needs in order to design a successful treatment plan. Her approach is to recommend the most effective treatments working with the natural aesthetic of her patients. With comfort in mind, she treats her patients with the utmost care, providing a therapeutic touch to ensure that each treatment is delivered with a sprinkle of love. Having that aesthetician background, Maria knows to pair cosmetic treatments with medical grade skin care products to compliment and extend the life of treatment results.
A San Francisco native, Maria appreciates the inclusive nature of the Bay Area, allowing her to work with the diverse needs of the community. In addition to her obsession with Aesthetic Dermatology, she is a curious foodie at heart, as well as a proud plant mommy. Nothing brings her more joy than to watch the world and people around her blossom.
