Epi Center MedSpa made it a mission to be an environmentally conscious facility and practice in 2007. This Earth is our home, and we believe in leaving as small a footprint as possible to support all living things now and in the future.
In 2009 we received a proclamation from Mayor Gavin Newsom and San Francisco for obtaining a Silver LEED certification by the US Building and Green Counsel. In 2010 we were named Top MedSpa in the US by Day Spa Magazine, and 7X7 Magazine awarded us the city’s best green spa.

Our ECO Facility
LEED Certified:
Our Eco MedSpa is elegant and inviting, cultivating a San Francisco chic that meets eastern simplicity in its design. It was constructed using sustainable materials: eco-paints that contain no or low VOCs, beautifully recycled fabrics, marble flooring, countertops, and reclaimed FSC-certified wood.
Efficient and Conservative:
We are committed to energy efficiency and conserving resources through water filters that eliminate bottled water, electronic medical charting, and digital photography that reduces paper, ink, and toner usage. All plumbing fixtures are low flow to promote water conservation, and our lighting reduces energy usage by 70 percent of the amount that space would typically require.

Epi Center MedSpa offers a seasonal menu of beauty-enhancing eco-friendly treatments with the most advanced FDA-approved therapies using medical-grade organic skincare products. Our healthy environment and organic products help to reduce the number of daily toxins we absorb into our skin.
Our approach supports a healthy lifestyle for our patients. Several popular treatments have the ancillary benefit of reducing waste and toxins in our environment on an environmental level. Laser hair removal, for example, eliminates water waste and razors going into landfills. IPL PhotoFacialSM treatments make it possible to wear a lot less makeup, therefore, reducing the bottles, jars, containers, and all the marketing packaging and shipping associated with it.

Epi Center MedSpa worked with leaders in eco-architecture to design our luxurious MedSpa with the highest level LEED certification attainable in an existing building.
Eric Corey Freed, founder of organic architect and author of Green Building and Remodeling for Dummies, ensured the Epi Center MedSpa conforms to the strict standards established by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Eco-Fabulous founder and style guru Zem Joaquin served as the “green style police” for the project, ensuring that its design of the eco medspa is in line with natural systems to create a space that allows nature and commerce to co-exist in a way that supports the health of the planet.
Justin Martinkovic, principal in the San Francisco commercial and residential architecture firm MartinkovicMilford, served as the lead architect on the project, and Will Wick of San Francisco’s Wick Design Group designed the interior.
Will Wick, interior designer, and his eponymous design house are known for work that is bold and decorative, yet classic, unexpected, and layered with narrative. His luxury brand works fluidly to juxtapose a blend of storied elements with modern context that have come to define the signature Will Wick style.
